    • Ayaz Peerbhoy

      One of the founding fathers of Indian advertising, Ayaz Peerbhoy changed the way brands interacted with the Indian consumer with his nonconformist approach and global mindsight. He started his advertising career with JWT as a Management Trainee in 1938. Growing his way up across various agencies and roles, he became the first Indian General Manager of JWT in 1954, managing brands like Binney's Textiles, Rolex Watches and Sanforized. After a short stint at Everest as its Managing Director, he founded Marketing and Media Associates Pvt. Ltd. on August 1, 1960, in Mumbai.

      In 1964, he authored one of the first Indian books on Marketing and Advertising titled "Advertising and Research". In 1969, he became President of Advertising Agencies Association of India and the very next year he chaired the 7th Asian Advertising Congress. Under his able leadership, MAA went on to become one of the leading advertising agencies in the country, with offices in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Delhi. In 1981,
      he introduced diverse communication verticals to the agency's portfolio, making it the 1st and only total communication group in India.

    • Bunty Peerbhoy

      A revered name in the Indian Advertising diaspora and Chairman of MAA Group, Bunty Peerbhoy has, for over 40 years, captained the MAA ship and its allied companies towards increasing successes.

      He joined MAA in 1966 as a management trainee, learning the ropes of advertising under the able guidance of Ayaz Peerbhoy, his father. In 1972, he was appointed Branch Manager for MAA, Bangalore. He catapulted the agency to a leadership position in less than a decade, making it one of India's largest agencies and the first to introduce integrated marketing communications. Today, MAA Group has over 1000 employees working across 7 individual companies, with a turnover of over Rs. 250 crores.

      Bunty Peerbhoy is a winner of numerous prestigious awards. His vision and experience has not only helped the group in winning several accounts, but has also contributed to the growth of the client.
